“Hang Seng Branch Entrance Gate”
Concept
“Back in the old days, Hang Seng branches were mostly sitting at the cross road of every district, highly recognizable to pedestrians and passing-by vehicles. The metal gate and the Deity posters distributed before Lunar New Year also serve as collective memory for our past generation. It is our pleasure to involve in the conservation of the Hang Seng Gate and bring back its former glory, seeking a delicate balance between preservation and overhauling. By removing all rusty spots, covering it with protective coating, cutting missing parts of the carving and finalize through antiquing, the Gate is once again presentable to public, as carrier of culture.” - T.
