The listed exchange rates are for reference only. You will be notified of the actual rate prior to your confirmation of any transaction requested.
FX Order Watch enables you to set up instructions to perform foreign exchange easily according to the criteria you have preset, such as exchange rate, transfer amount, and expiry date criteria. When your pre-set criteria are met, the instruction will be automatically processed.
All Prestige Banking, Preferred Banking and Integrated Account customers (excluding Integrated Account customers aged under 18) are eligible to use FX Order Watch.
There is no set-up charge for using FX Order Watch.
You can exchange 10 types of currency via our FX Order Watch service, including USD, AUD, CAD, CHF, EUR, JPY, GBP, NZD, CNY, HKD.
You can place buy/sell order or rate alert at anytime
(Except Sun 00:00 – 06:00) via our FX Order Watch platform.

FX ORDER WATCH service is available at Hang Seng Personal Internet Banking and Mobile Banking.
Expiry date must fall on Monday – Friday (even that day is Hong Kong public holiday). When customer selects expiry date from the calendar tool, the tool has already hidden all Saturday and Sunday. Please note that the FX ORDER WATCH order/rate alert will be expired at 23:59 on the expiry date.
Minimum: USD1 ; Maximum: USD500,000
Although the target rate is reached, the watched rate may yet to be reached in the market. The order will only be executed when the “watched rate” is reached in the market.
You will receive email/ SMS if you have opted for the notification channel subject to a valid email address / Mobile phone number are provided. When your instruction is executed, a notification would be sent.
If your registered mobile phone number is a Chinese mobile number, your SMS notification might not be successfully received, so we encourage you to enable both SMS and email notification to stay alert.
Note: no charges for SMS notification.
