The Hong Kong Monetary Authority’s (HKMA) Interbank Account Data Sharing (IADS) programme enables you to securely obtain your bank account information from other banks based on your consent, seamlessly manage all your finances in just one app. You can also manage consents anytime, giving you full control over your consents.
The IADS service is available on the Hang Seng Mobile App and is open to selected customers. For more information on the programme and its participating banks, please visit the HKMA IADS web page.

Receive product and service information tailored to your financial status and spending patterns.
We'll obtain / share your account information from one bank to other participating banks, with your consent. And you can complete consent authentication via both banking apps to protect your data.
With full control over your consent, you can grant, manage or revoke consent at any time, choose the banks or accounts you want to share.
"Open Banking" enables us and other participating banks to obtain and share your Hang Seng and other bank account information with your consent, through Open Application Programming Interface (Open API).

With "Interbank Account Data Sharing" (IADS) service, we would only share / obtain Hang Seng or other banks' Current or Savings account information with your consent, e.g. account balance, income and expense details (coming soon).
IADS service is only available to selected Personal e-Banking customers who have enabled Hang Seng Mobile App now.

You can share your Hang Seng Savings or Current account data with other connected banks via open APIs. Please refer to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority website for more information. We'll share your account data only after obtaining your consent based on your data sharing perference, it is not preset for all participating banks.
The maximum validity period for consent is 1 year, starting from the granting date to the expiry date.
You'll receive an SMS message and email confirmation from the bank which provides data, once you set up or revoke the consent.
"Active" means you've granted us consent to share / obtain Savings or Current account information from other banks within the consent validity period;
"Expiring Soon" means the consent will expire within 30 days;
"Expired" means the consent has expired;
"Cancelled" means you've cancelled the consent.
You can log on to Hang Seng Mobile App > Tap "Settings & Security" from the left menu > "Account and personal particulars" > "Open banking data sharing preference" > "Share Hang Seng account Information / Obtain other bank account information" > Tap "Active" consent > Tap "Cancel consent" to proceed. Once successful, the consent will be immediately cancelled on our side, and we'll no longer have access to your account data, while the other bank will process the cancellation according to their data processing policy.
Your other bank accounts must be in an active status to ensure you can view such information in Hang Seng Mobile App. |
We use our exchange rate to calculate the foreign currency balance in HKD. Our exchange rates may differ from other banks, and the actual amount will depend on the other bank's rates.
Balance changes for other bank accounts in Hang Seng Mobile App aren't real time updates. For the updated date of the account balance, please refer to the "As of" timestamp at the top of the account details page.
