2. | I confirm that, as of the date of this application form, I or the government department of HKSAR in which I am working have/has no official dealings with Hang Seng and I undertake to inform Hang Seng promptly in writing if I or the government department in which I am working will later become involved in any official dealings with Hang Seng. |

5. | I agree that irrespective of whether my application is subsequently withdrawn or rejected, all personal data and information with respect to me which are provided by me at the request of Hang Seng or collected in the course of dealings between me and Hang Seng (the "Data") may be used and disclosed by Hang Seng for such purposes and to such persons in accordance with Hang Seng's policies on use and disclosure of personal data as set out in statements, circulars, notices or terms and conditions made available by Hang Seng to customers from time to time. I also acknowledge and agree that the Data may be disclosed to, or used and retained by, any other institution or any debt collection agency, credit reference agency or similar service provider for the purpose of verifying such Data or enabling them to provide such Data to other institution: (i) in order that they may carry out credit and other status checks; and (ii) to assist them to collect debts. |
6. | I agree that Hang Seng may transfer the Data outside the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, conduct matching procedures (as defined in the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance) using the Data and such other personal data and information relating to me, and provide banker's or credit references in respect of me. |
7. | I understand that the information requested in this form will enable Hang Seng Bank ("the Bank" or "we" or "us" or "our") to provide me with information about the products and services offered by the Bank, the Bank's subsidiaries or such entities as set out in the statement, circular or notice relating to the use and disclosure of personal data made available by the Bank to customers from time to time and other promotional materials which may be of interests to me through the Bank's email services. I also understand that the privacy of the personal information provided by me in this form will also be governed by the Bank's privacy policy applicable to personal information of customers as set out under the heading "Notice to Customers and Other Individuals Relating to the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance" in the Important Message to Readers and Internet Privacy Policy Statement (the "Internet Privacy Policy Statement"). 8. | In the case where a guarantee/third party security, unlimited in amount, has been or is presently issued in Hang Seng's favour in respect of any or all liabilities of me owed to Hang Seng, I agree that Hang Seng may from time to time provide the guarantor/provider of third party security with any data, details or information (including any of my Data) relating to any loan/banking/credit facilities extended by Hang Seng to me for the purpose of notifying the guarantor/provider of third party security of the liabilities under the guarantee/third party security. |
9. | I confirm that (i) I did not own any credit card that was cancelled due to default payment, (ii) I currently do not have any overdue payment in respect of any of my indebtedness; and (iii) there is no bankruptcy order made against me and I am not in the process of petitioning for bankruptcy nor have any intention to do so. |
10. | I agree that, as a reminder for making repayment (if necessary), Hang Seng may transmit the relevant message via my mobile phone number maintained in Hang Seng's record. |
1. | I request and authorise Hang Seng to incorporate the information of all my banking product(s)^ which are from time to time maintained with or provided by Hang Seng (or any of its subsidiaries) under the same identification document(s) as the above Integrated Account (regardless of the related correspondence address) into my Account Statement and make available such Account Statement for my access or use through Hang Seng Personal e-Banking service. If I decide not to incorporate the information of all my banking product(s) ^ into my Account Statement, I should notify Hang Seng in writing. |
2. | I understand and agree that Hang Seng can, at its own discretion, make available such transaction advices, transaction reports, account statements, records, confirmations, receipts, acknowledgements, notices and/or other communications as from time to time prescribed by Hang Seng (collectively referred to as the "Relevant Communications") for my access or use through Hang Seng Personal e-Banking. |
3. | I acknowledge and agree that (i) Hang Seng will keep the Relevant Communications on the relevant webpage for 6 months (applicable to Relevant Communications of Credit Card) and 13 months (applicable to Relevant Communications of Integrated Account), or such other period as Hang Seng may consider appropriate before deleting them; (ii) it is my duty to examine the Relevant Communications and download the same (if I deem it necessary) before they are deleted by Hang Seng; and (iii) Hang Seng is not under any duty to send physical copies of the Relevant Communications to me. |
4. | The Relevant Communications shall, as between Hang Seng and me, be conclusive evidence as to the Relevant Communications therein and that the Relevant Communications shall be binding upon me. |
5. | I have the right to resume the sending of physical copies of the Relevant Communications and may submit the request via Hang Seng Personal e-Banking or to any Hang Seng Bank branch. |
^ Hang Seng has the sole discretion to determine the banking products to be listed in the Account Statement. |
1. | I request and authorise Hang Seng to send me an e-Statement alert via email once the latest integrated account e-Statement is available on Hang Seng Personal e-Banking. I am responsible for ensuring I have compatible telecommunications equipment capable of receiving such e-Alert. Hang Seng will only send e-mails once. If I delete the relevant e-mails, Hang Seng will not send them to me again. |
2. | Neither Hang Seng nor any of the telecommunications companies which may be designated by Hang Seng for the purposes of providing the e-Alert Services will assume any liability or responsibility for any failure or delay in transmitting information to me or any error or failure in such information unless this results from negligence or wilful default on Hang Seng's part or such telecommunications companies. In particular, neither Hang Seng nor any such telecommunications companies will assume any liability or responsibility for the consequences arising from any cause beyond Hang Seng or its reasonable control including without limitation failure of my telecommunications equipment to receive information for whatever reason, any telecommunications breakdown, mechanical failure, path failure, malfunction, breakdown, interruption or accuracy of equipment or installation. In addition, Hang Seng will only send messages once and will not be responsible to arrange for any message to be re-sent to me. |
3. | I must keep any password and security details secret and take all reasonable precautions to prevent unauthorised or fraudulent use of my password or security details and ensure that unauthorised or fraudulent access to my e-mail is prevented. I understand that I should never provide my account or personal information on screen following a website hyperlink from an e-mail e-Alert. For details, I must pay attention to the full version of e-Alert terms and conditions listed on Hang Seng Personal e-Banking. |
4. | I have the right to terminate or suspend the e-Statement e-Alert service by completing the relevant information on Hang Seng Personal e-Banking if necessary. |
1. | These terms and conditions are in addition to the Integrated Account Terms and Conditions, and the Integrated Account Terms and Conditions shall continue to apply to the Digital Certificate Payment Service, but where there is any discrepancy, these terms and conditions shall prevail for the purposes of the Digital Certificate Payment Service. Unless otherwise specified, all terms and expressions used in these terms and conditions shall have the same meanings as those used in the Integrated Account Terms and Conditions. |
2. | The Digital Certificate Payment Service is an additional Service offered to Integrated Account of Green Banking with the Integrated Account Card (which shall be called Green Banking Integrated Account Smart Card) embedded with the Customer's personal digital certificate ("e-Cert") issued by the Hongkong Post Certification Authority ("HKPCA") and operated by an operator designated by HKPCA ("HKPCA Designated Operator"). The Digital Certificate Payment Service is only applicable to Customer holding a Hong Kong Identity Card. For the avoidance of doubt, all terms and conditions applicable to Integrated Account Card shall be applicable to Green Banking Integrated Account Smart Card. |
3. | The Customer shall apply for the e-Cert directly from HKPCA. Any matters, claims, disputes or complaints in connection with the e-Cert, including but not limited to loss, revocation or replacement of e-Cert or e-Cert private key shall be governed by "Subscriber Terms and Conditions of e-Cert (Personal) Certificate". |
4. | The Customer may give Instructions to the Bank from time to time to pay bills issued to the Customer personally by payees accepted by the Bank, by employing the e-Cert through payment platform ("Platform") provided by the HKPCA Designated Operator ("Platform Provider"). |
5. | The Customer irrevocably authorizes the Bank to effect payment Instructions digitally signed with the Customer's e-Cert and received by the Bank from the Platform Provider. The Bank shall be under no duty to verify such payment Instructions. All such payment Instructions will be deemed authorized by and binding on the Customer. |
6. | Once a payment Instruction is submitted, no amendment or cancellation is allowed, regardless of the Instruction's processing status. |
7. | Payment Instructions shall not be considered received by the Bank until the Bank has actually received them from the Platform Provider. Payment Instructions received by the Bank will be processed the next Business Day. Processing status of Instructions will be shown at the Platform and the Platform Provider will send email confirmation to the Customer after Instructions have been processed or (if applicable) rejected by the Bank. Email confirmation shall be deemed to have been received by the Customer if sent to the Customer's email address in the Platform Provider's record. It is the duty of the Customer to check the processing status and email confirmation. If no email confirmation is received within the time usually required for a similar confirmation to be received, payment Instructions may not be received by the Bank and may not be processed. The Customer should contact the Platform Provider in such case. |
8. | The Savings Account will be the default settlement account for payment Instructions. |
9. | The Customer shall ensure there are sufficient cleared funds in the settlement account at the time of Instructions being made. Otherwise, Instructions will not be processed successfully. In the event the Customer gives Instructions to pay multiple payees or pay several bills at any one time and there are not sufficient cleared funds to effect all Instructions, the Bank will process the Instructions according to the sequence received by the Bank as determined by the Bank in accordance with its record. If any Instruction is rejected, it will be shown in the email confirmation from the Platform Provider as referred to in Clause 7 above. |
10. | The Customer acknowledges that the Platform is provided by a third party Platform Provider and agrees that the Bank has no control of the Platform and the transactions made through the Platform. The use of the Platform and the transmission of Instructions through the Platform and the internet shall be at the Customer's own risk. |
11. | The Bank shall not be liable or assume any responsibility to the Customer or any third party for any loss, damage or claims arising out of or in connection with (i) any error, delay, failure, interruption, interception, suspension, fraud or security breach in the submission of Instructions by the Customer or transmission of Instructions to the Bank by the Platform Provider; (ii) the use of the e-Cert or any matter in connection with the e-Cert; (iii) the use of the Platform; or (iv) any processing or non-processing of Instructions due to any reason beyond the control of the Bank. |
12. | If the Green Banking Integrated Account Smart Card or Card PIN is lost, please contact our 24-Hour Lost Card Hotline at 2836-0838 and report loss of the e-Cert to HKPCA at 2921-6633 immediately. |
13. | The Bank reserves the right to revise these terms and conditions at any time and from time to time upon reasonable notice to the Customer. |
14. | These terms and conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of HKSAR. |
15. | The English version of these terms and conditions shall prevail wherever there is a discrepancy between the English and Chinese versions. |

12. | (Applicable only in case of Green Banking application) I acknowledge and agree that each person can only apply for one Integrated Account of Green Banking, and be sponsored the fee for one Hongkong Post e-Cert only. In the event that I have already applied for or have another Integrated Account of Green Banking, this application will be rejected or deemed an application for an Integrated Account at the sole discretion of Hang Seng. I undertake to settle the fees for any additional Hongkong Post e-Cert that I have applied. |
13. | I acknowledge and agree that, my Integrated Account of Green Banking will be upgraded to Integrated Account of Preferred Banking automatically after my graduation (if applicable), and additional monthly fee waiver for the three years immediately after my graduation will be offered. The standard monthly fee for Integrated Account of Preferred Banking will be applied from the 37th month after my graduation. Automatic Upgrade to Integrated Account of Preferred Banking and the relevant monthly fee is only applicable to Adult Integrated Account of Green Banking.
(Note): “subsidiary” has the same meaning as in the Companies Ordinance (Cap. 622 of the Laws of Hong Kong) as amended and supplemented from time to time. |
