Audit Confirmations

From 20 March 2024, to standardise audit confirmation requests, we’ll only be able to accept requests made using the Bank Confirmation Request Form (for audit purposes) or “Confirmation.com. Requests made in other ways will not be processed.

When auditing a Hang Seng customer, we can help make it simpler for you to request for bank confirmation for audit purposes with two options:

  1. Online through Confirmation.com – the most efficient, environmentally sustainable option
  2. By post – with the choice of receiving our report by email, courier or ordinary post

 

Online (via electronic submission)

Hang Seng Bank has partnered with Confirmation.com, one of the world’s leading online audit confirmation solutions, to help you manage the audit confirmation process as efficiently as possible. Using Confirmation.com gives you:

  • A faster way to manage the audit confirmation process, from submitting your request to receiving a report via the online platform Confirmation.com
  • A simpler digital authorisation process for your clients
  • Compliance with international and local auditing standards
  • Lower bank fees than requests made by post
  • Validation and secure communications for everyone to reduce the risk of fraud

How to register on Confirmation.com

To make a request through Confirmation.com, please go to www.confirmation.com and click the 'Sign Up' button at the top of the page to register as a new user. Registration only takes a few minutes.

To make a request by post, please send a completed 'Bank Confirmation Request Form (for audit purposes)' (This is an interactive Adobe PDF form that cannot be viewed in browser.  Please download the form to your local drive and open it with Adobe Reader) to:

For paper-form submission, audit confirmation report can be received by email1, courier or ordinary post. For a faster service, you can now choose to receive our audit confirmation report by email1.  By selecting email1 as the delivery option on the request form, you'll receive the report at least four working days sooner than the physical report. 

Fees and Charges

The charges for bank confirmation for audit purposes are set out in our Commercial Banking Services Fees and Charges under “Bank Confirmation for Audit Purpose” in the “Report Request / Photocopying” section. You can view the Commercial Banking Services Fees and Charges” on our public website (https://www.hangseng.com/en-hk/business/tariff-business/). No extra cost is charged for receiving the report via Confirmation.com, by post or email, while cost will be induced for receiving the report via courier.
