Set up Hang Seng HSBCnet Soft Token in 2 simple steps:
1. Your organization’s System Administrator will need to grant the mobile device entitlement for you in Hang Seng HSBCnet’s User Management service.
2. Once enabled, you can activate your mobile device in the Hang Seng HSBCnet Mobile app.
When to use Soft Token:
· Log on to Hang Seng HSBCnet web application
· Re-authentication when accessing high-risk functions (e.g. payment authorization, user access and authority entitlements)
· Transaction-sign during payment creation for new beneficiaries
Remarks:
Hang Seng HSBCnet Soft Token is an alternative tool to your existing physical Security Device. You can still use your existing Security Device to log on and access Hang Seng HSBCnet services after activating the Hang Seng HSBCnet Soft Token. Please ensure to keep your existing physical Security Device safely as you will still need it in some situations, such as resetting your mobile security PIN or re-activating Hang Seng HSBCnet Soft Token.
**Important note**
Starting from 1 August 2023, a fee of HK$200 per Hang Seng HSBCnet physical Security Device (“hard token”) will be imposed on you for each hard token order request. In order to let you have a smooth transition to Soft Token and allow you to have an alternate method of accessing Hang Seng HSBCnet without paying additional charges in the event that the existing hard token battery runs out, you are strongly recommended to activate your Soft Token on a compatible mobile device via Hang Seng HSBCnet Mobile app as early as possible to enjoy the aforementioned benefits for free.
