Claims procedure - Details on how to submit your claim and more.

If you use HSBC Life medical card to receive medical treatment, you do not need to file claim.

  1. Show your medical card during registration
  2. Sign the claim voucher prepared by the medical network provider upon completion of treatment or discharge

If you cannot use your HSBC Life medical card to pay your medical expenses, please make the payment first and then submit a claim to HSBC Life.

        1. Collect required documents

• Original receipts
• Statement of account
• Doctor slips
• Medical reports
• Referral letters (if any)

        2. Submit a completed claim form* and all required documents to HSBC Life within 90 days after treatment or discharge.

 
* If the claimant is confined in government hospital (managed by Hospital Authority, ward level), discharge summary would replace the completion of claim form part II.

HealthyLife

 

To manage HSBC Life Benefits+ Medical Insurance Plan, you can use the free mobile app HealthyLife to check membership details and submit claims, online track claim status and search for HSBC Life Care+ medical’s network doctors (if applicable).

Remark:
Payment of benefits will be based on, among others, the final report from the attending physician and the Policy Provisions.
eClaims submission in HSBC Life HealthyLife is only applicable to outpatient consultation incurred in Hong Kong and Macau (only cheque can be issued for Macau eClaims cases). Please keep your original receipt as HSBC Life reserves the right to request for the original receipt within three (3) months of the claim completion date.

The above group medical insurance plans are products of HSBC Life but not Hang Seng Bank and they are only intended for sale in the Hong Kong SAR. 
  5. In respect of an eligible dispute (as defined in the Terms of Reference for the Financial Dispute Resolution Centre in relation to the Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme) arising between Hang Seng Bank and the customer out of the selling process or processing of the related transaction, Hang Seng Bank is required to enter into a Financial Dispute Resolution Scheme process with the customer; however, any dispute over the contractual terms of the above insurance products should be resolved between HSBC Life and the customer directly.
